 |
 The messenger bail eyelet is used in conjunction with span clamps to provide strain relief for the drop wire coming off of the tap. By wrapping the messenger around the bail eyelet and then sliding the bail eyelet onto the span clamp, stress on the messenger wire can be reduced.
